While some fans thought that the fiery exchange of words between dancehall hitmakers Tommy Lee Sparta and Masicka had ended, the former said he's just getting started.

"No sah wi cyaah [conclude] yet and mi nuh gi no trouble yet. Some more word affi throw, wi naah guh go suh hard again but nutten nuh done until it done," Tommy Lee Sparta told THE STAR just moments after performing at Fanatic Festival on Saturday.

When asked why continue the lyrical sparring given the seeming lack of engagement from Masicka, whose last lyrical entry was Death Row, Tommy Lee Sparta was unfazed.

"Mi nuh response bout him and if him waah respond," he said.

The lyrical crossfire took form in late November, and the heated jabs intensified as both artistes went 'chune-for-chune', with entertainers Jahshii and Shawn Storm joining the fray.

Speaking on why he initially launched an attack against Masicka, Tommy Lee Sparta said he feels the deejay disrespected Vybz Kartel, especially following the Worl' Boss' crowning as King of the Dancehall at Reggae Sumfest in July.

"Vybz Kartel just come outta prison and mi nuh like fi see like nobody a draw him out because mi see seh him change. Suh me young and me can manage the lyrical battle with him (Masicka) and a man affi know seh him wrong and if him neva wrong, mi wouldn't guh at no battle with him. Him wrong fi weh him a duh and weh him a think," Tommy Lee Sparta said.

Pointing to the 2017 collaboration between Vybz Kartel and Masicka, Infrared, released while Kartel was incarcerated, he claimed that the featured track boosted Masicka's musical career and that even Kartel waited his turn while the former dancehall king, Beenie Man, reigned.

"Mi neva see Kartel war Beenie Man fi no crown, him nuh affi duh dat. Him (Masicka) fi build him own crown, fight fi him own crown and wait pon him generation fi grow up and crown him. Fi him fans dem nuh lef school yet; Kartel fans dem a sen' [Masicka] fans dem guh a school," said the Crown Clown artiste.

While he commended Masicka for being ambitious, he reminded him that 'patience is key'.

"Him fi have time and wait man and gwaan put in di work. Him nuh big like Skillibeng, Popcaan and nuff more artistes. Him fi humble him likkle self man. Mi nuh seh him nuffi have big dreams, enuh, but don't put yuh basket weh yuh can't reach it [and] choose yuh battles carefully," he warned.

"Di whole a wi ambitious but yuh cyaah waah build yuhself and a bring down a next man."

Tommy Lee Sparta said he "probably" would've taken the lyrical showdown to the Sting stage if the show had not been cancelled.

The artiste, who headlined Fanatic Festival, was bursting with energy when he entered the stage. He energised the crowd with his Masicka diss track, Control, and kept them on their toes with songs such as Blessings, Under Vibes and Buss A Blank. Asked about the response of the crowd, he shared that he was pleased with their interaction.

"Mi love di energy, mi see seh di people dem love when mi wire di maskita same way," he smiled. "Is a good likkle vibes and di fans dem love it. Mi like how no violence naah gwaan, di thing clean yuh understand? Di youth dem come fi enjoy demself and dem deserve to enjoy demself."
